Join Verde for our very first Community Altar in honor of Día de los Muertos.
Thursday, October 28th - Wednesday, November 3rd*
9AM-6PM
Dia de los Muertos is a well known Mexican tradition that celebrates family members and loved ones who have passed on to the spirit realm. In the last two years, we have faced immeasurable loss and grieving as a collective. Our intention is to offer our humble studio home as a sacred space for our grief to be transmuted into beauty, connection, and gratitude.
We are the living dreams of our ancestors. Ofrendas are offerings made in gratitude, honor, and reverence to the ancestors and the universe, with nothing asked for in return. This could be anything from photos, candles, foods, beverages, flowers, anything you’d like to give in honor of the departed. Help us make this a tradition by joining us in ceremony.
Our altar will be activated Thursday, October 28th, and on going until Wednesday, November 3rd. Stop by during our open hours with simple offering or just to take a moment of prayer. We’ll be offering treats for little ones and a space to remember those who have made our journeys possible.
This event is free and welcome to all.
*Our studio is closed on Tuesdays.
