A Guide to Meditation in Recovery

Here at Verde, we make it our priority to serve our clients from the moment they walk through our doors, no matter where they are in their healing journey.

Part of this work is providing our clients with the tools and skills they need to take healing into their own hands. Mindfulness is one of those tools that can serve our wellbeing at any moment - especially in times of increased stress or anxiety. 

Studies have shown that meditation not only increases cognitive abilities, focus, and attention, but can actually improve our mood by boosting levels of serotonin in the body. While mindfulness can help us navigate our day to day stressors, it can also be an incredibly effective tool in times of extreme difficulty - especially for those on their journey to recovery.
